It is the duty of the government to ensure the rights of women in all areas in accordance with the Islamic criteria and to take the following measures: 1. Create suitable conditions for the development of women’s character and the revival of their material and spiritual rights. 2. Support mothers, especially during pregnancy and child-rearing and provide support for children without a guardian. 3. Establish competent courts for the protection and preservation of the family. 4. Provide special insurance for widows, elderly women and women without support. 5. Grant the guardianship of children to worthy mothers when there is no legal guardian in order to safeguard the children’s interests.
